Democracy Gone Astray

Democracy, being a human construct, needs to be thought of as directionality rather than an object. As such, to understand it requires not so much a description of existing structures and/or other related phenomena but a declaration of intentionality.
This blog aims at creating labeled lists of published infringements of such intentionality, of points in time where democracy strays from its intended directionality. In addition to outright infringements, this blog also collects important contemporary information and/or discussions that impact our socio-political landscape.

Joe Biden Quietly Delivers An Absolutely Devastating Critique Of Donald Trump

Speaking in soft tones and encouraging the crowd to refrain from applause, Vice President Joe Biden quietly delivered a devastating critique of Donald Trump.

Biden described Trump as “a man who embraces the tactics of our enemies — torture, religious intolerance.”

“You all know, all the Republicans know, that’s not who we are,” Biden said.

Biden described Trump as “a man who confuses bluster with strength.”

The speech itself, which captivated the convention crowd, was a rebuttal to Trump — not just in substance but in tone.

Biden, in simple language, stripped down Trump to his essence. Biden’s purposely subdued approach was a sharp contrast to Trump’s convention speech, which was delivered in a near continuous shout.

Many have attempted to explain Trump and expose his flaws. Biden’s effort may have been the most effective yet.
